"The Impact of EU Enlargement on Business Investment - Drawing Parallels with NAFTA"

The CEO Roundtable will offer participants with the opportunity to hear from senior executives and government officials on future growth areas in Canada-EU investment, with particular emphasis on the potential for increased opportunities due to EU enlargement. Discussions will also highlight the areas in which Canada has become a leading investment gateway to the North American market for European companies.

The event will feature presentation of the results of a study of Canadian and European business leaders conducted by the Conference Board of Canada. The study will outline the key investment trends and perceived business opportunities in the Canada-EU relationship.

Outcomes from the event will assist CERT in contributing to the Canada-EU Trade and Investment Enhancement Agreement (TIEA) currently being negotiated. The Agreement is aimed at delivering a substantive package of regulatory reforms.
