The Canada Europe Roundtable for Business - CERT is the leading association dedicated to creating business opportunities between Canada and the European Union. Founded in 1999, CERT actively develops company-member interests by:
- Contributing recommendations to government to shape public policy and increase bilateral trade and investment.
- Hosting thematic, high-level meetings focused on developing strategic relationships between company executives and with government officials.
As a principal interlocutor with the Canadian government and the European Commission on public policy formation, CERT has been a strong advocate of a comprehensive Canada-EU trade and investment framework agreement, with the goal of eventual transatlantic free trade. Commencing in early this year, CERT organized a campaign to generate CEO-level support for a greater level of ambition for the bilateral trade and investment relationship.
